Scareforce One, the jokes are endless. But seriously, what were they thinking? Could this really have been all about a photo op? A glamour shot of Air Force One with Ms. Liberty? At $70k an hour to fly AF-1 and god-only-knows how much to scramble an F-16? Has the White House never heard of Photoshop? Since we’re told this was done to update an old file photo, I guess we can say it was the Bush Administration’s fault.
Considering the panic that gripped millions of workers in lower Manhattan when this harebrained scheme was unfolding, I wonder if some of the east coast elites might want to reconsider their “we’re better than that” attitude towards water boarding. I’m just saying.
