The doctor is in:
It’s a beautiful Saturday in November. In Michigan it’s likely to be the last beautiful day we see for months. How would you like to spend it? Football game, yard clean-up, Christmas lights? How about waiting in line for a swine flu shot provided by Wayne County Health Services?(Assuming you are eligible per Obama-care guidelines. Note, we are not rationing. We are simply determining eligibility)
This is a scene at Schoolcraft College in Western Wayne County around noon. This is only one side of the line. It wraps around an entire complex of buildings. And do you see those little structures with white roofs that look like bus stops? They’re actually port-a-potties put in place for the occasion. So don’t tell me that government’s not efficient.
The shots were only for the high priority group and were scheduled from 10:00 till 4:00. I’m betting they ran out well before that.
Oh, and by the way: I spotted at least 6 uniformed police on the premises while cruising through the parking lot. Probably on overtime. Not sure what they were there for. The crowd didn’t appear unruly and since everyone had been parked for hours, traffic wasn’t really an issue either. But maybe they were expecting riots when they announced they ran out of vaccine.
There you have it: this is your government with drugs. “I’ll decide who gets them, where they get them, and (gulp) if they work.”
Be afraid. Be very afraid.
